⚠️ Avoid: Family details, hometown, personal life. Keep it professional.
2Why do you want this job?
Company research karo pehle — specific product, initiative ya value mention karo.
Sample: "I've researched your company extensively. Your focus on [specific thing] aligns with my interest in [related skill/domain]. I noticed your recent [achievement] — that's the kind of innovation I want to contribute to. My experience in [skill] will directly help with [company goal]."
💡 Pro tip: Ek specific recent news ya achievement zaroor mention karo — ye genuine interest dikhata hai.
3Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Ambitious but realistic answer — is company ke saath growth show karo.
Sample: "In 5 years, I see myself as a senior [role] with expertise in [field]. I'd like to have led at least one significant project and possibly mentored junior team members. Most importantly, I want to grow within this organization and contribute to its expansion."
⚠️ Never say: "I want to start my own company" ya "I want your position."
4Why should we hire you?
Ye aapka 30-second pitch hai. 3 specific reasons taiyar karo.
Sample: "Three reasons: First, my [specific skill] directly matches your requirement for [role need]. Second, I have [specific achievement with number] that shows I deliver results. Third, I am genuinely excited about [company's mission] and that motivation will make me a consistent performer."
5What is your greatest strength?

Sample: "I used to struggle with [real weakness]. I recognized this was holding me back, so I [specific action taken to improve]. Over the past [time period], I've improved significantly — [evidence of improvement]. It's still a work in progress, but I'm committed to getting better."
⚠️ Never say: "I'm a perfectionist" or "I work too hard" — HR ne ye hazaaron baar suna hai.
🧠 Behavioral Questions (STAR Method)
7Tell me about a time you failed.
Sample: "During [project/task], I [what went wrong — be specific]. It resulted in [consequence]. I took full responsibility and [what I did to fix it]. The most important lesson I learned was [specific learning], which I've applied ever since. [Evidence that you improved]."
💡 Key: Own the failure + show learning + demonstrate growth. Don't blame others.
8Describe a conflict with a coworker and how you handled it.
Sample: "During a team project, [colleague] and I disagreed on [specific issue]. Rather than escalating, I requested a private meeting. I listened to their perspective fully, then shared mine with supporting data. We found a middle ground that combined both approaches. The project was delivered successfully, and our working relationship actually improved."
9Tell me about your biggest achievement.
Sample: "My biggest achievement was [specific accomplishment]. The context was [situation]. My specific role was [your task]. I [detailed actions you took]. The result was [quantified outcome — numbers, percentages, time saved]. This taught me [key learning]."
💡 Numbers chahiye: "Increased sales by 35%" vs "Increased sales" — pehla 10x better hai.
10How do you handle stress and tight deadlines?
Sample: "I handle pressure by breaking the work into smaller milestones and prioritizing by impact. When deadlines are tight, I communicate proactively with my team about progress and blockers. For example, when [specific deadline situation], I [actions taken], and we delivered [result] with [time to spare / on time]."
💡 Situational Questions
11What would you do in the first 30-60-90 days?
Sample:
Day 1-30 (Listen): Meet every team member, understand processes, read documentation, identify quick wins without disrupting.
Day 31-60 (Contribute): Execute small projects, build relationships, start adding tangible value.
Day 61-90 (Drive): Present observations, take ownership of one meaningful initiative, measure early results.
12How would you handle a difficult client?
Sample: "I would first listen completely without interrupting — most difficult clients want to feel heard. Then I'd empathize genuinely, not just procedurally. I'd clearly communicate what I can and cannot do, offer a concrete solution with timeline, and follow up after resolution. A well-handled complaint often creates a more loyal client than if the issue had never occurred."
13If your manager gives you feedback you disagree with, what do you do?
Sample: "I would first listen fully and ensure I understood their perspective. If after reflection I still disagree, I would request a private meeting, ask permission to share my perspective, and present my view with specific reasoning and data. If my manager still maintains their position after hearing me out, I would commit to executing their decision professionally. Disagree and commit — that's my approach."
